Syllabus - 6th Grade Spanish Connections
Introduction
I would like to welcome all of you to your study of Spanish. As the word gets smaller, the need to speak more than one language is becoming more and more important along with the need to understand other cultures. Learning Spanish is a challenge but can also be fun. I am really looking forward to our adventures this semester.
Purpose
The sixth grade connections Spanish class serves as an introduction into the world of Spanish language and culture. After completing the semester of work required for the course, the student will have been exposed to many facets of the language and culture, and will be given the choice to continue with his or her studies in the seventh and eighth grades.

Late Work
All assignments are due on the due date given for the assignment. If it is not turned in at that time it is late. All late work needs to be turned in by Friday of the week the assignment was due. No late work will be accepted after the 8th week of each term. I understand that there will be times when an assignment is delayed for important reasons, I am willing to work with individual students on those occasions.
Behavior Expectations
I expect a high level of class participation during the learning periods. In order to achieve this each student must hold themselves responsible for his/her own behavior. Consequences for infractions against school and classroom policies will follow school discipline policy.
